ARE YOU SERIOUS? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!!! ALI DID NOT COPY HIS STYLE, I SAW THAT FIGHT AND DAVEY ONLY BOUNCED UP AND DOWN. THAT'S IT! ALI HAD A STYLE ALL HIS OWN THAT HE HAD SINCE HE WAS FIGHTING AS A LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT IN THE AMATEURS.

this is a slap in the face to ali, and the sport of boxing! i suggest you apologize to all ali fans now before you get seriously flamed for that ****** and ill-advised remark!

"(Jimmy) Wilde's style was to hold his hands low, and to advance with his body swaying, ready to fire in shots from any and all angles. It was one of the styles Muhammad Ali adopted later."

Well its not like he was born in a cave and all of a sudden came out of it being influenced by nobody. Of coure Ali was influenced by other fighters, by this particular guy? I dont know, but all fighters borrow from previous and other ones.

Alot of fighters prior to the dancing version of Ali probably practiced a similar style, just Ali was the most suited to it, and did it the best for a heavyweight. Brought the style maybe to a prominance it did not previously enjoy.
