Williams is so sloppy and uncoordinated that he would definitely get hit by some of Taylor's punches. But Taylor is so shaky in a fight of attrition that I don't see it out of the question of Williams maybe outworking Taylor if he could hold Taylor off early. People underestimate how shot Jermaine really is.

Hahahahaha hilarious. Hey pot, did you know UR black???

Would love to see a Williams/Taylor trilogy. But they probably would only have enough in the tank for a unogy(or whatever the word would be). Could be a FOY candidate. Both are good, respectful guys that are tough to root against. Both have mad heart but questionable chins(Taylor more so). Both guys want to fight and have the right attitudes. Williams squeeks out a decision IMO. Sign it up!!!

why do people think taylor would KO williams? who has taylor ever brutally KO'd? lol. best guy he's stopped was an old raul marquez. if he couldn't stop guys like ouma and spinks before he was shot, he aint stopping anyone decent now

            yikes

with williams activity and jermains power this would probably be an action fight

that being said these are literally two of my favorite dudes on the planet that i dont know personally

jermain taylor is probably my favorite boxer
and likewise, williams is one of my favorites.

if you have been a fan of the sport for the last five or ten years you have probably grown to love and appreciate both guys

it's not my place to tell these guys that they shouldnt fight..

but i'd prefer if they didnt. i dont want to see either guy in a hard fight again. jermain's speech is nothing like it used to be.
likewise with williams. these guys are risking it all if they end up in a grueling fight again.

initially it felt great to see jermain working that jab last night
but i'd prefer if he never fought again.

I agree. I love both guys. Jermain Taylor's been one of my top 2 favorite fighters for years now. I think I might be blinded by how big of a fan I am, and I just need to accept the fact that he really shouldn't be taking anymore punishment. Either way, I wish both of them all of the best.

                  amen, brother

they've both been smart with their money as well. williams has evidently made some nice moves with some real estate in the south
and JT's just flat out loaded with the amount of time he spent on hbo

williams has been taking punishment in basically every fight for a long time

going all the way back to mathysse.

                  phillips
                  martinez twice
                  margarito
                  cintron
                  mathysse
                  lara
                  winky
                  quintana in their first fight

all of these guys hit williams with big, clean shots
