vitali himself would run the risk of being ko'd in alis era with that fragile skin. you have to remember that both klitschos would QUICKLY find themselves in heated 15 round wars in the 70's. they would ran into a few bums that would have pushed them in this sorta way.
heavyweights were tough as nails in the 70's...............
I agree that the 70's heavyweights were tougher than today, but they also didn't have to deal with 6'7" guys who could actually fight either. I don't think the extra 3 rounds would hurt the Klitschkos cuz they're always in phenomenal shape. They would be able to go the extra 3 rounds no problem. Not sure about Vitali's skin but his toughness is definitely on par with the dudes back then. I just can't see Joe Frazier at 5'10" or whatever being able to get inside and let his hands go against a giant like Vitali. Not saying anyone is better than anyone else but that's a rough matchup for Smokin Joe
norton, holmes, liston, foreman, fraizer, (i think shavers could beat wlad)
Ernie Terrell (i think Cleveland williams could beat wlad) & of course ali himself.
so all in all about 9 would have very good chances @ beating the klitschkos.......
I pretty much agree with this.
Klitschkos are good but they can be beaten. They aren't spectacular, just have mastered the fundamentals.
Vitali wouldn't get knocked out however. No way, no how. I also believe Vitali could beat all those guys as well. Out of 3 fights, Vitali would win at least 1.

actually you're wrong......there were a few good 6'6 heavyweights in the 70's......Ernie Terrell was 6'6 & much wider then ether Klitschko. it's all about level of competition NOT size. apart from the 2 brothers guys that are 6'5+ mostly suck in this era.........also. wlad has stamina issues...YES 3 ROUNDS WOULD HURT HIM. really any guy that can consistently land on wlad would discourage him (even if the guy isn't all that good) i don't think wlad lasts in the 70's............vitali to me is much better fit for this task but with a few wars he wouldn't last ether..........lewis fought vitali like a old school blood & guts fighter from the past. there are more then a few fighters in the 70's that would take all of what vitali has to dish out & remain in his chest...........this is what klitscho fans don't understand. the brothers would QUICKLY find themselves in wars............
