Gary Russell Jr, Gamboa, Broner, Rios - match-maker's heaven

I'm not sure many would dispute the disgusting potential in all of the aforementioned boxers, but a few things which I've wondered are, will these guys eventually move to the light welter-weight division and will we see these guys battle it out with each other?

For me, a Russell Jr vs Gamboa, or Rios vs Gamboa fight is more exciting than a Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Broner would be another interesting matchup with any of those three as we'd be able to see just how good defensively he is and how much his speed and power translates against fighters with the same or perhaps better natural potential.

Dunno bout you, but I think a super 6 type tournament should be made maybe at the 135 or 140 division, with all four of those guys included. That would kick some serious MMA ass. An although I'd give Russell Jr the slight edge as far as poential and natural ability, the fights are still too close to call and would be serious clash of titans. This is my New Years wish...

If a tourney between these 4 were to happen, I would honestly stand up and say **** Mayweather V Pacquiao, I'd never hope that **** to happen ever. May V Pac is just a superfight based on financial projections i.e. breaking PPV numbers etc. The fights this tourney would have are fights which create fans - these are the type of fights were casuals will look in and say 'holy ****, did I really see that?'. These are the fights where we'll be able to see even a glimpse of boxing glory days - it could very well end up being this generations Hagler, Hearns, Duran and Leonard. I'd rather take the fights which will create fansa and solidify boxing as a premier sport as opposed to a fight which will only increase the wallets in the back packets of the promoters.
