im trying to think... does Boxing still pull more revenue in, in a year then MMA does?
does Boxing still pull in more revenue then MMA

yes it does. some people (MMA supporters) falsely calculate only the PPV revenue. this is valid only for MMA because MMA subsists mainly on PPV, i.e. that's all it has is constant PPV shows. Boxing on the other hand has dozens/hundreds of fights per day that you don't hear about and PPV is only a minor 2ndary income source for boxing that only happens a few times a year. On a daily basis boxing is bringing in tens of thousands of $$ from cards from all over the world. On a yearly basis boxing is still far outgrossing MMA if you count all the cards, not just PPV's.Comment

and btw if you need proof of this just look at total UFC PPV and total HBO PPV sales
UFC pulled in somewhere around 200-250 million $$ PPV sales a couple years ago (using couple years ago numbers as an example) and HBO alone pulled in 250$ or so million PPV dollars. This is just ONE TV channel single handedly already almost owning the entire UFC brand. Yet HBO alone represents only a tiny fraction of boxing. HBO is just a TV CHANNEL it does not own boxing nor represent even a majority of boxing. Not only are there many other channels like Showtime etc there are thousands of cards that go on on a daily basis all around the world that do not even get televised and are generating revenue. So if HBO represents just a small fraction of boxing and is single handedly competing with all of UFC, that means boxing as a whole, all channels, all cards around the world that go on under the radar on a daily basis, utterly destroy UFC revenues on a yearly basis.Comment

The way I see it is boxing attracts more racial diversity than MMA. Although MMA is popular it does not have the star factors for many countries to build it up to what it could become.Comment

Hillbillies are not a race lol jk. How many stars of different nationalities are in the "big leagues" of MMA to boost its popularity. So many organizations that dont really work together...kinda like some boxing promoters...Comment
