Duran the Human buzzsaw would have done just that Buzzsawed through De La Hoya. All of you speak of Hoya's great chin etc but remember Duran fought Hagler in arguable a fight that he won and hagler could hit like hell. that was at middleweight. Hoya couldnt even stand up to bernard who is not known as a powerpuncher. Also look how Duran cut off the ring and forced Leonard to fight as well as many other opponents. The only true black eye on Durans career was his loss to The Hitman Hearns but with Durans height he could not reach hearns it was like it was just target practice for Hearns and that cannon of a right hand he had. If you take punches all night and cannot hit a person back of course you go out. Anyway having said all that Duran would dispose of De La Hoya in the later rounds

Duran would apply too much pressure for DLH, and Duran hates fighters like DLH much like he hated SRL. Duran by KO at 135, 147, or 154.

Mosely was really the one who exposed Oscar's body...in the second fight he had Oscar hurt to the body a couple of times.

DLH is not in Duran's level, and i honestly don't think that is a discredit to Oscar. Duran is in the class of super elite fighters, in my opinion. He was one of the most accomplished and well-rounded boxers to ever step foot in a ring.

Everything DLH has to offer, Duran has seen and overcome. DLH has never fought a fighter with Duran's combination of fury, ruthlessness, and skill.

Like some have stated, Duran beats DLH at 135, 140, 147, 154, or 160.

I agree with a lot of this post. Duran brought relentless but effective offense to the table, coupled with a very underrated defense that saw him slipping a lot of punches and taking some of them on his gloves. At 147 and under, he was a terror and would have broke Oscar down in the early-middle parts of the fight like many have already mentioned on this thread.

I think Oscar may survive to see a decision, but theres a good chance that Duran stops him too. I'll say Roberto drops him once late in the fight and takes 9 out of 15 rounds.
