I'm talking more about their professionalism rather than 'why is someone letting them get away with it'. If you're fighting professionally, regardless of who your opponent is, you should be hitting your contracted weight, no excuses. This is a come back for both guys, headlining a feature show; yet they both missed the weight? To me it says a lot about where they are mentally, they might not be all the way back into the game in their heads.
With this being a non-title fight, the limit is 161 and 169 for Taylor and Dirrell, respectively. It's very common for non-title fights not to be contracted at the division limit.
It has nothing to do with being lazy or undisciplined. They were on the weight that they agreed to when the fight was signed.
