Nathan Cleverly believes fellow Welshman Lee Selby (12-1, 4KOs) can follow in his footsteps and become a world champion. Selby burst onto the domestic scene when he ripped the British featherweight title from Stephen Smith with an eighth round knockout in September. The 24-year-old then became the first man to stop John Simpson this month and Cleverly feels Selby has already shown he has the potential to reach the top.

The lads been impressive in his last two fights and looks to be big and heavy handed at the weight after moving down.

A very nice boxer, I'd just like to see him work on his defence - use the Hopkins and Ward tricks more so you don't get tagged back as he has lovely movement and boxing skills, just needs to polish his defence up.

Ko against Smith and a stoppage over Simpson who's never been stopped indicates that he could go on to be a World Champ if he trains hard and stays focused as he has the boxing skills to go with good power.
