  • Comments Thread For: Ana Julaton, Will She Finally Get Her Due in 2012?

The laceration on her forehead she got from an accidental head-butt in her last fight has healed. A reminder in the form of a scar is all that remains. Cuts and scars are common in boxing, but one has to wonder though why a beautiful female like Ana Julaton insists on sacrificing her blood, sweat and tears -- on top of her model good looks -- to pursue a sport that hasn't necessarily reciprocated the love toward it's female combatants.

She's from the Phillipines, so she has half of NSB overrating her no matter what.

        Beautiful woman and good fighter.

Women should get more praise for stepping up and getting in a ring tbh.

Why not cry? No one can fault her for wanting more recognition, whether she's been in the sport one year, or five. The piece already explained her achievements.

Ann Wolfe not "complaining" was her choice, and irrelevant to Julaton's situation.

The bigger issue, as was written in the piece, is that women boxers don't get enough publicity and support by the boxing higher-ups, and, therefore, the fans. This makes me sad.

Do you know what this boxer has achieved? What makes you say she's overrated (and solely because of her ethnicity, at that)?

Putting your valueless comment aside, Julaton doesn't get enough attention. And neither do practically all women boxers.
