  • Comments Thread For: Tomasz Adamek: I Will Remain at 224, 225 For Power

Former two division champion Tomasz Adamek (44-2, 28 KOs) plans to remain around 224, 225-pounds for power and strength. The Polish star felt a little overwhelmed in his tenth round knockout loss to WBC champion Vitali Klitschko (43-2, 40 KOs) in September. As previously reported, Adamek has bulked up with some muscle and plans to continue working on the power of his punches with trainer Roger Bloodworth. Adamek hopes to return in March 2012 in New York or New Jersey.

Adamek should go back to cruiserweight, where he can become a champion again.

He doesn't have a big enough frame for heavyweight.

I don't think he will gain any power and the weight will likely slow him down, but apparently he feels quite confident in his ability. He's not a young man anymore and this could be his last shot at glory, so he might as well take it as a heavyweight.

True enough, but it won't happen. Adamek will finish up at HW, for better or worse....

Just tough talk on Adamek's part after facing the wrath of Vitali Klitschko. Until he proves he's getting in the ring again...... Vitali has retired his last 3 opponents & 4 out of the last 12.
