Yeah, he got knocked down a few times but mainly due to his poor balance. As well as getting caught with a couple of good shots.

But his head cleared very quickly and he was never hurt at all.

For me, to class someone as having a glass chin they need to be knocked clean out so they don't get up. Or at least badly hurt on several occasions.

Mugabi was the first to come to mind. did not see a decision until very late in his career. he probably thought the judges were just fans with very good seats.

ofcourse it does, its one of the greatest myths in boxing.

prime tommy hearns had a great chin but after moving way up in weight, getting up there in age and dozens of wars it didnt hold up quite as good at the end of his career. that doesnt mean he had a bad chin all along, everyone who knows anything about boxing knows the chin is often the first thing to go in a fighter. especially if hes an action fighter whos constantly moving up and down in weight.

same thing happened to julian jackson, fernando vargas and ricardo mayorga just to name a few. a mainstream fan who only seen 4-5 of their fights when they played "the oponent" late in their careers might be fooled to believe they cant take a punch. a real fan who followed the sport knows better. now to make this mistake with vargas, mayorga or even jackson is one thing, but to not know about thomas hearns' legendary career is embarassing. get your **** together people.

              Some people named Trinidad?

Most of his knock downs were flash kd, the only fighter to really hurt him and have him out on his feet was Hopkins.

So many Saad Muhammad fights are classics; his old bouts regularly turn up on TV. But he doesn’t care to watch himself very much, because, he said, “all I can think is: Oh, look at that man get hit.”

That was always the legend of Saad Muhammad, the reason he earned the nickname “Miracle Matthew” – he would take so much punishment, take the hits, find himself in trouble. And then, with a granite chin and an iron will, Saad Muhammad would come off the ropes and win. His life is, in many ways, a story about what a man can overcome.

what??? trinidad was stopped one time in his career in the 12th round after getting his ass whupped the entire fight. and he actually beat the count. the ref and his corner stopped it. he was never knocked out. in fact, he was known for getting knocked down and getting right back up and knocking the other guy out.
