  • Khan looks to take advantage from Mayweather's Prison Break

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/16341089.stm

Khan says Mayweather will be weaken by his stint in the joint and has been making mistakes in recent fights and will look to take advantage of this if they fight.

Khan is looking to the rematch with Peterson and a win there could get him back in the Mayweather stakes.

How much will Mayweather lose in the joint, and how far past his prime is he.

Will Khan get his timing spot on?

"You have to know the best time to have these big fights in your career. If you look at Oscar De La Hoya, he fought all the best fighters when they were on the way downhill, and not at their best. I want to catch these guys when they have come off their peak. But I have to be careful because there might be a younger version of me coming up who wants to do exactly the same to me"

Even though that's not a fair assessment of ODLH; it's an honest appraisal of how boxing works.

Do you have a source to substantiate Khans moment of clarity? Or did you just make it up?

Ill give Amir credit for admitting that Ricky Hatton has also said that if he faced Tszyu 3 years before he actually did Tszyu would have murdered him

            Mayweather vs Mosley

            Great timing

Many fighters do this, Khan is just being honest.

Mayweather is levels better than the sloppy, amateurish, robotic Khan and would easily handle him.

It would take a 3 year, not 3 month, bid for Floyd for him to slip enough for Khan to beat him.

Khan has poor defense which consists of either covering up or moving away. No staying in range and slipping or parrying shots then countering. His footwork is very flawed, so is his balance. He's not very accurate, and largely throws sloppy combos that may catch the eyes of people not watching carefully, but they don't land. Rather than being an adapting, thinking fighter, he fights like a programmed robot.

That's not going to cut it against an elite fighter like Mayweather.
