Junior middleweight Erislandy Lara is red hot. After reading a recent story on BoxingScene.com regarding their fight from July, Lara (15-1, 10KOs) exploded with venom at Paul "The Punisher" Williams (40-2, 27KOs). In their July fight, Williams won a close twelve round majority decision. The scores were 114-114, 116-114 and 115-114. Williams returns on February 18th against upset king Nobuhiro Ishida (24-6-2, 9KOs) of Japan. Lara fights a week earlier on February 11th against Ronald Hearns.

IMO Pwill needs to be dominating & convincing, as Ishida , really, is only average...Lara w/Hearns no trble especially w/Hearn's weak chin, but a good bout to see since JCC Jr ducked Hearns w/the "cut my hand on the ceiling fan " bull...

Damn, he owned the hell out of Paul Williams. I'm starting to lose respect for Williams myself. Never really liked him after his first fight with Martinez. He had to be forced to fight guys that were dangerous after that it seemed like because his team knew he wasn't as good as he was touted to be.

I've never seen a fighter off HBO get as much favorable treatment as Paul Williams has either. Not even Berto when I stop to think about it outside of maybe who HBO forces each guy to fight.
