According to promoter/manager Vladimir Hryunov, there is a chance that the WBO cruiserweight title will become vacant. Marco Huck, the current champion, will move up to heavyweight to fight for the title of a rival organization. He faces WBA "regular" champion Alexander Povetkin on February 25th in Germany. Except the WBO orderd Huck to defend his title in a mandatory bout with Ola Afolabi (18-2, 8KOs). Huck decisioned Afolabi in 2009. if Huck does indeed lose the title, Hryunov expects a possible battle for the vacant crown between his boxer Denis Lebedev (23-1, 17KOs), and Afolabi.

Yeah, good fight. Ola is really talented, just has to be more active. For all those posters that were saying Toney knocks out Lebedev or makes him look like a fool, well here's a guy with a decent chance to do either.

Love this fight! I was looking forward to Afolabi rematching Huck, but I think I like this fight even better. Two of the best fighters in the division facing each other? Yes please.
