come does anybody think Mayweather would have ever fought Selcuk Aydin?

Mayweather would just vacate the WBC trinket and fight somebody else. the WBC doesn't want to lose out on a cash cow like Mayweather.

the WBC has been terrible this year about giving out titles.

gift titles to Saul Alvarez, Julio Cesar Chavez and Erik Morales. each one those guys banks and so does the WBC because of them.

it just hurts real fighters like Tim Bradley, Sergio Martinez, James Kirkland and many more.

money is more important than talent in boxing, so we get frauds like Canelo and Chavez. Mayweather is the exception but he worked hard to be where he is and is actually the best at his weight, unlike some other frauds

For being in jail for 60 days , jeeeessus you guys are in fantasy land , maybe if it was for a length of time that stalls the title which reflects badly on challengers , but for short term with a fighter of his stature being stripped you got to be dreaming , at the days closing this sport is a business and the business side of things will always rule !!

Nobody's is in fantasy land or dreaming, the WBC rules are that if a fighter is convicted of a crime he WILL BE STRIPPED & especially IF HE HAS TO DO JAIL TIME..& the WBC have stripped other fighters for meaningless reasons(for example-->Sergio Martinez)..But it is also known that the WBC does BEND, MAKE UP, CONTRADICT & IGNORE their own rules as they go along, especially when it has to do with a Mexican fighter or a fighter that generates a LOT OF $$$$$$$ like in Mayweather's case..& that's what most of the posters here are pointing out..

you cant seriously be throwing Tim Bradley in that mix can you? He just ducked Khan and fought a washed up Joel Casamayor. However I do agree with the rest of your post, but it's not just the WBC all of these alphabet titles are, I dont wanna say jokes, but do all make awful decisions. IMO the Ring Magazine Belt is the most legit one a fighter can get in the game today.

Korea, the Philippines and Papua New Guinea. Indonesia and Malaysia also have such
