Comments Thread For: V. Klitschko Still Feels Valuev Fight Would Be Interesting

The fight never happened, despite detailed negotiations, and we may never see them fight. WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (43-2, 40KOs) and the seven-foot 'Russian Giant' Nikolai Valuev (50-2, 34KOs) were destined to go their separate ways.

Good to hear Vitali still calling out the giant, it is indeed an interesting match-up, still. Valuev ofcourse must be rusty as hell, and one can be concerned about his health if he would actually end up in the ring with Vitali (Vitali would hopefully go a bit 'easy' on him) - but what the heck, isn't this a fight you people want to see? For the sheer freak show factor, just imagine the amount of size and pounds in that friggin' ring. That alone is of interest itself. Call me sadistic, but I would enjoy watching Valuev get knocked the f... out and fall as timber on the canvas. Or just getting TKO'ed, which is a likely outcome. Also, just watching Vitali for the first time in history getting in the ring with someone who's bigger than himself. Make it happen, whatever politics it takes! Go on, Valuev, find your balls and let us hear from you!

Would be nice to see the Klits being for once, forced to fight on the inside or get punished.

Even though I don't think Valuev is that good.... I'm intrigued to watch him fight because he looks like shrek and he's a giant in the ring.

Valuev is nothing but a tall bum really, but a fight against him would add up a lot to Vitali's legacy, knocking out a 7 foot giant that was never KO'd (or even knocked down?) before and has a good record on paper.

TKO ref stoppage or Ko as in dropped down for the 10 count?
Honestly, I'd like to see if he breaks the ring when/if he goes down

I would love to watch Vitali pounding on that clown and highway robber.

Every fight that involved Valuev utterly ******. he fights like this: throw a slow ass jab... stand in the middle of the ring for 20 sec... adjust pants... and repeat the whole thing all over... This would be the first Klitschko fight I would not be watching... and I watched Klitschko fight Mike Ackalie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecNNmEGQ9a4
