A seven time world champion in 5 weight divisions and a pay per view star? I doubt Ward will be all those things in five or six years.

It's not impossible. But it's gonna be hard for Ward to surpass Floyd in the weight class-jumping department. Because Ward started at 168 and there's only 3 more weight classes after that. So even if Ward goes all the way up to HW, he would only be a 4 divisional champion which is still great, but I doubt he even gets to HW because he is not that big. and it's much easier for a Super Featherweight to go up to 147 and 154 than a Super Middleweight to go up to CW or HW. From SMW to CW is already like 30 lbs, Floyd has not even gone up 30lbs and is a 5 divisional champ, while Ward would only be a 3 divisional champ if he goes up 30lbs.

Ward can be great in his own way, he doesn't have to surpass any one to be looked at as great. With wins over Bute, Dawson, Pascal, Cloud[or at least 2 of those 4] to add to his already good wins over Kessler, Froch, Abraham, Bika, and his okay wins over Green and Miranda.

i think he will surpass all of em, floyd, manny, roy, hopkins etc..

ward has all the tools to get it done imo but if hes able to pull it off still remains to be seen. but its all there, the youth, talent, ability, style, and work ethic etc.. what ward has in addition to that is two weightclasses full of talent to prove himself against.

bute, dirrel bros, dawson, sillakh, cloud, cleverly are all top notch fighters or future top notch fighters in or before their prime, take just half those names and add it to wards current list of victims and you have a tremendous resume.

              Could happen.

There are quite a few good fighters around his weight class right now and who knows what the up and comers will look like around 5-8 years from now. I don't think it crazy to think that over time it's possible for him to build a resume that a reasonable person might compare to Floyd's.

Thing is he has to beat them all and most of them convincingly (which to this point he has been doing).

I think the train is rolling, but there's a long way to go.

I would give you green K if i could, but I've already given you enough lmao.
I don't even think Ward needs to go up to HW to get on Floyd's level. Ward just needs to do something that Floyd hasn't accomplished. It sure would look nice on Ward's resume if when he retires, he can say, "I was a former undisputed champion in SMW AND LHW with multiple defenses in each against top opposition". This is how he can make his own legacy, by being the first guy since Holyfield (correct me if I'm wrong) to become undisputed champion in 2 divisions. OR, he can go B-Hop's route and dominate SMW for years upon years. With all the potential at SMW, he will undoubtedly be apart of numerous mega-fights, and as a result, SMW becomes a division that fans will take serious.

Ward's injury could finish him before he has the chance to improve his position
