It’s come around again. Everything old is new again. In the previous decade, Pongsaklek Wonjongkam reigned as lineal and WBC Flyweight champion, racking up defenses while talented beltholders abounded. Lorenzo Parra, Takefumi Sakata, Eric Morel, Vic Darchinyan, and Nonito Donaire came and went.

It's funny, I thought Wonjongkam's demise was imminent after his hard fight against Sor Rungvisai, who at the time seemed like he was in over his head.

Sor Rungvisai has turned out to be a decent fighter, having beaten Tomas Rojas and Nobuo Nashiro at 115.

sounds like a four-man showtime tournament waiting to happen!
        Viloria, Wongjongkam, Marquez, Mthalane
the four can make for some action fights
in the meantime Giovanni Segura can fight Edgar Sosa

Viloria has to be one of the most underrated boxers out there. He beat Solis and Segura who were at the P4P ratings when he beat them. Dude should get more credit than he deserves. He earned my respect.

I've always respected him. He just runs so hot/cold it's tough to figure where he is. The Nino and Sosa losses looked like disinterest at times (though both are good fighters). Tamara is a tough but very limited guy and that loss was pretty bad. Viloria is why wise hands remind never to examine a career until all its days are in.

Maybe after he fights something other than 22-26, 16-6 fighters but his name does not belong mentioned with the rest until he has earned it by fighting something with a pulse first.
