So you're saying you know Vitali shouldn't be in this poll but because you like him so much he is?

Vitali had a masterful performance winning every minute of every round against a very good fighter in Adamek, and he had a win over an undefeated pro and world champion amateur fighter in Solis. Two stoppage wins over Ring top ten opponents in their prime. Not too shabby.

Wlad is my favorite fighter and I see his name in similar polls on other sites, but I don't think he deserves to be there for one decision win over a mediocre, overrated opponent Diva Haye.

Vitali being there is no problem. Adamek is the best win of his career and the best fighter he's ever beat. The Solis win is garbage because Solis is fat garbage. Not Klit's fault. He showed up like he always does.

Far from FOTY but being a nom ain't no thing.

Just had a convo with someone on whether Prsoka was Prospect of the Year. The Sylvester win probably pushes him out because he's strong a contender now, but as far as new names, he's in there. I think Masternak at Cruiser should get some love when that category gets live from folks.

And, Tunney, Brian Viloria is probably Ward's runner-up this year. He should be in anyone's vote.

Of course he won every minute of every round, while Adamek is a good fighter he didn't belong in the ring with Vitali. Too small, not enough power, not enough speed to off set what Vitali brings to the ring. The Solis win just ******. Not Vitali's fault, the blame is all on Solis. Like Maniac said, Marquez should replace Vitali. Heck Morales shouldn't be on there either.

I agree with Cliff Rold, Viloria is a serious candidate...he just doesn't fight in as relevant a division as Ward does...I almost voted for Vitali just because I knew this thread would somehow be tied to him.

Right, I knew there was someone I forgot and it was Viloria.

Proksa won four fights in 2011, two against decent opponents by stoppage: in Germany against Sebastian Sylvester and in Spain against Pablo Navascues.

I was impressed by Proksa when I saw the way he "turned it up" for a nice KO despite a hostile crowd and home referee against Navascues to become European champion.

I wish I could edit the poll to include Viloria, but I can't .
