The injury is known as a 'boxers fracture'. Ward risks permanent handproblems unfortunately.

That would be the metacarpal.

All those who thought Ward wasn't extremely "tough" prior to the Froch fight are ******ed, BTW. Funny to see them eating their words now.

It's a vertical fracture that runs alongside the bone (boxer's fracture). Instead of breaking the bone in half, it kind of splits in the middle.

This is boxing, pretty much every legit boxer in the history of the sport has hand problems. The human hand wasn't meant to be balled up in a fist and used a club.

I really don't like Ward, there is something about him that turns me off about him, but there is no way to deny that he is a world class fighter and him fighting not at 100% reflects that.
