Former world champion Agapito Sanchez has apparently been the victim of a gunshot wound in the chest. Word is he was shot once and that he's in the Intensive Care Unit in the Dominican Republic.

First Z Gorre's older brother gets knifed and killed earlier, and now Agapito get's shot. As much as I didn't like the guy as a pro boxer, I don't wanna see anyone get killed. I hope he turns out ok.

the guy beated Oscar Larios and drew with Pac Man,
he lost to MAB and Guti espadas, he is a good figther
he is 35 now, i feel sorry for him his carrer is provably over. too old to recover.

hopefuly he gets better

not glad he was shot, don't get me wrong. rather just see a fighter beat his ass.

Agapito is very dirty. He's a true dirty Sanchez. I haven't seen him in a fight that didn't involve the street.

Its ****ed up I dont he deserved to get shot for his rough tactics in the ring.

One of the toughest customers any fighter can face. Even many of the ones who won over him admit as much. His tactics can really drive an opponent to distraction...to having fits.

He was skilled enough to forego any of his illegal ways atop the ring, but it seems dirty tactics was an integral part of his ring persona. I think he could have found some success even without those tactics and would have been better appreciated for his legit fighting talents, which, if he bothered to fully develop them, could have been more than adequate.

he's been shot since ta Pacquiao fight. Barrera beat him UD and Pac shoulda won that draw. Guzman jest stopped him. He's a shot fighta and should retire.

He died people. He's ****ing dead now. I don't know why, but it always hurts me when a fighter died. May he RIP.
