Comments Thread For: Erik Morales Surgery Goes Well, Garcia Fight Still On?

BoxingScene.com reported on Wednesday that WB junior welterweight champion Erik "El Terrible" Morales was taken to a hospital in Mexico City to undergo gallbladder surgery to remove a stone. The boxer began to experience pain and discomfort and had immediate surgery to resolve the issue. After the surgery was complete, the doctors advised Morales to rest for ten days before resuming his normal activities. Members of Morales' team refused to give a concrete answer on whether or not the scheduled defense against undefeated Danny Garcia was going to proceed on January 28th in Texas.

Hes as old as Wlad Klitchsko. I had this type of surgery before you feel really sore for like 3 days and about after a week your back to feeling normal.

Im sure he was training before this happened, so 1 week this far away shouldnt take too much effect, although if I were Garcia id target his body now.

Damn it, I was hoping Morales would finally go away and stop wasting space on cards.

I don't know if there is a difference between a gall stone and a kidney stone but I had a kidney stone last year thought I was goin to die the pain was so bad if he needed surgery and decides to fighton the 28th of january...then he's not of this world.
