Joe C's career in perspective (IF he wins)?

Most importantly, how would many of your view Joe C's creer if he beat Jeff Lacy convincingly? Could he retire and be known as a great fighter?

I still pick Lacy to win as I don't see Joe C with his wild style of brawling and slapping to fend off Lacy for too long.

If Calzaghe beat Lacy and then went on to either unify the Super middleweight division or go up to 175 and beat Tarver and a couple of the belt holders then i suppose we could call him a very good fighter. He has wasted too much of his career to be called "great".

if Calzaghe were to win in february, the first thing i would do is try to find more fights of his to watch.

While I doubt he can beat Lacy, doing so would help his status. But before he retires he'll need to get active and try to unify or at least move up in weight and try to take on some other opponents. As it stands he simply hasn't done enough with his career for how much talent he might've had if he'd have used it.

          Nobody cares about alphabet belts.

Calzaghe only needs to beat Lacy and Tarver to get into the HOF and be a great. Even though he's washed up, I think he can do it (if Tarver is offered enough money).
