Vitali has had some barn burners though.
There was a lot more drama in Vitali-Lewis and Vitali-Sanders than in any Ward fight!

But is Ward better because he's an American?

On The Ring website and ESPN the writers are hugging his nuts so hard I'm afraid they'll crush them.

I’ll take Andre Ward any day he fights the better fighters between them, he has the better technique. Vitali punch output is great but his power is overrated.

Vitali is the better fighter than Ward.

        Defense: Equal

        Offense: Vitali

#'s don't lie. Vitali has offensive tools that Andre wishes he had.

It's actually close for me. Vitali himself is entertaining, but his fights aren't. Ward's style isn't entertaining, yet his fights are to me.

I guess you have a better chance at a Vitali fight being entertaining, so I'll go with him.

I agree, though if forced, I would probably consider Vitali as more exciting. Ward has totally earned my respect though.

Vitali's fights aren't that entertaining because of boring opponents.
Ward is the boring opponent in his fights.

Who is the more exciting fighter?

is Andre Ward more exciting because he's an American even though he's really boring, or is Vitali more exciting because of his "seek and destroy" style?
Ward beats better caliber opponents by UD, Vitali KO's bums. I'd go with Vitali because he puts the "eye" in excitement.

But vitali also puts the eye in boring. so I'm going to vote they are equal, because there is no I in equal.

The poll result just underlines my point that a lot of people here would sooner watch a boring American fighter clinch and headbutt his way to decision wins, than watch an exciting European fighter impressively destroy his opponents.

Like I've always said: if only the Klitschkos were American and black, they'd be hugely popular.
