Bute-Froch thoughts, Froch wins it in my opinion.

Bute is a good counter-puncher, but he isn't "slick" like everyone seems to assume. I actually think he has serious defensive flaws, he's just been fighting B and C level opposition for so long, noone's been able to expose them, since the first fight with Andrade. In the Magee fight he got tagged hard a few times, and appeared to be buzzed. Bute is an offensive machine, and he's been able to get away with just his offense for years now, but when he fights Froch, it's going to be a whole different ballgame. I expect Froch to land his jab with consistency on Bute.

And despite having a bad start, I expect him to break Bute down over the coarse of the fight. As I've said in the past Froch has underrated boxing skills, and he has a solid well timed jab. He just couldn't show them against Ward because Ward is superior in all of those departments. Bute also doesn't handle getting hit well at all. He panics. I'm telling you, even the most talented fighters can fail on the top level when they've been fighting lower level fighters for so long. Because when they finally do step up, and are being really challenged, and being hit they can fold. I'm not saying this will happen t Bute, hell I could be completely wrong and Bute may beat Froch, but I have a feeling the way he panics when hit, and his defensive flaws, will cost him big time in this fight.

Expect Bute to have a good start, and Froch to start coming on in the middle rounds with the jab. Bute starting to tie up alot, and Froch TKO's him late. Like I said I could be completely wrong, but I feel Bute's lack of top level experience, defensive flaws will cost him in this one. Yes Froch has defensive flaws, but he has loads of world class experience and has proven himself as a top level fighter. Just my two cents.

It was incredible to see Froch get completely outmuscled for much the fight against Ward, yet he was still going so hard in that 12 round. Froch is really going to have something to prove, and even if Bute looks better and is winning going into the later stages, I think Froch takes him out.

Watch the Bika or Berrio fights and tells me where he panics and that was a inexperienced Bute who has improved since then. The Mcgee fight too he did land some decent shots where did he panic? Froch is going to get KTFO, he'll eat clean counters all night like he did against Ward as Bute is just as good a counterpuncher with similar handspeed only his power is A+.

I like Froch but some people really underestimate Bute especially in a matchup against the two, it will be satisfying to see Bute finally get some credit and silence the irrational legions of haters that he has.

I am no Bute hater, just expressing MY opinion, that is all. You have yours and I have mine. The difference between him and Ward is Ward can fight alot of different ways. I think Bute has talent, I just think his lack of fighting top opposition might cost him here.

I hear you. Another thing that played a big factor was Ward's footwork and his ability to control the distance which is also something Bute excels at and uses in conjonction with his counter punching. Same with Ward's short tight compact punches as Carl's wide punches gave Ward ample oppertunity to avoid them, counter or just outright beat him to the punch. I can see as those same things factoring into his downfall vs Bute.

I'm happy this fight has been made.

After he beats decisively beats Froch, although they'll discredit the win by saying Froch is no good anyway, the Bute haters will be somewhat quieter.
