Haynes, whats your big hardon for Ward? Both before and after the Froch fight I've seen nothing but negative posts from you about Ward. Why?

For the record, Hearn is right Ward wants no part of a bout in Canada where Bute makes 1.2 million and Ward gets 450K.

As for a Bute fight, Ward easy 117-111 in a fairly uneventful fight.

Froch vs Bute, a fight for 2nd place!

for a guy that just won a historic tournament, he sure is getting a lot of hell. Bute does not deserve a shot, realistically. Ward just proved he's the best at that weight. let Bute beat at least one fighter that was in the super six (and not Glen Johnson lol).

Ward beat Froch. Ward beat Kessler. Dirrell is getting ready to fight for the first time in a year and and nine months. Who else is out there? Bute is clearly the best option.

I'd rather see Bute-Froch and, if Lucian wins, a Bute-Ward fight, than just see Bute-Ward next. I honestly would. Lucian fighting and beating the Super Six runner-up would dispense with all the 'Bute doesn't deserve the winner of the Super 6' talk, plus I feel it would actually be a better stylistic match for the fans. I don't understand all this hate for Ward. He's been through the mill in the last two years (albeit his fights have been in his backyard, which - call it what you want - is very good work by his promoter) fighting the best opposition, he deserves a softer touch and to savour this victory. He and Bute can do it in mid- or late-2012. I think Froch may have to go to Montreal for Bute though.

he is the best option until Ward UD's him. im not saying Ward will but all im saying is lets not anoint Bute the best in the division until he proves it like Ward did already.

I wonder what's the deal with Ward's punching power though. He stunned Froch at times but he just couldn't seem to put enough sauce on him to finish him off.

I'm not hating on Ward. I'm just saying that Bute is the top contender. Bute-Froch is a good fight, but Ward-Bute is the best fight in the division, and Ward shouldn't make excuses for why the fight shouldn't happen. If he wants a soft touch, fine, but he's being evasive and it annoys me. I'm just sick of the BS.

Of course. They should fight each other to see who's the best. The only people who don't want this fight are the people who think that their guy will lose. I'm not a huge fan of either, I just want to see the best fight the best.
