either way, martinez has the diamond belt and is considered chavez' mando. it's the legit belt of the wbc and he wants. he even said in an interview he doesn't care who chavez faces next as long as the belt is vacated. so if the belt is vacated and martinez fights for it against someone else, i think he'd tone down for a fight with chavez.
No he wont, he got striped from his WBO title I dont see him wanting the title back, I wonder why?

he doesn't have a diamond wbo belt that he's a mando to. and as absurd as this sounds, martinez himself says he prefers having the green belt. and stfu about cherrypicking you hater, all the big dogs (cotto, pac, and mayweather) have done it and have been doing it longer than less known and non ppv name martinez. martinez who can't get a shot at them, or even a lesser name like chavez jr fights whoever hbo gives him the green light to fight on their network. the barker fight was a waste of time, but it's not his fault hbo declined zbik.

regardless if chavez faces martinez or not, just give up the belt, that's what i would be okay and i've heard martinez say as of recent. if anything, the wbc should make them switch belts. chavez can have the diamond one and whenever the hell him and scumbag arum feel ready to step up they can since they'll be the mando. this whole mess is a joke though

The same could be said for any belt holder at MW though, Sergio is the real champ anyone else is just a contender.

Although I agree that canelo and Chavez both need to step up, gotta start cleaning house somewhere. If its chavez first and then canelo a little later I am fine just as long as it gets done. Time to start feeding your little hype jobs to the wolves.

The main problem here is not the fact that the belt was legitimately vacated, but the fact that he fought against Matthew Hatton, a guy who was unranked at 154 pounds an still got a shot for that vacant belt while there were other guys who were ranked and deserved a shot like Vanes. Then Canelo failed to do the original catch weight and was I don't remember very well but about a half pound heavier and had to give some of his purse to Hatton. That "vacant belt" was just a gift for Canelo.

Canello is allowed to fight the loser of Molina-Cintron.

I can't believe how people don't see this and isn't speaking up about it.

But oh wait, Canello is just a baby, right. He needs time to grow? That's the pass a lot of people like to give him. But how is Team Canelo ready to face Mayweather and Pacquiao (#1/#2 P4P), but guys on boxingscene say it's ok for him not to fight Kirkland.

This is another episode of the Twi-light Zone.
I think the point here is that both of these so called champions need to fight. Just because Alvarez is still getting coddled, doesn't mean that Jr. should get off. At least one of those paper champions is going to have to fight. Canelo should have to as well, but forcing this on Jr. is a great start.
