  • Comments Thread For: Bute and Hearn Discuss Two Fight Blockbuster With Froch

Carl Froch hopes to regroup with a fight on home turf next year after being handed his second career defeat by Andre Ward. The Nottingham fighter, who lost a close decision to Mikkel Kessler in 2010, was undone by Ward on Saturday night with the unbeaten American always in control en route to a unanimous decision win in Atlantic City.

. "... I felt like I was getting into it. I think the scores suggested that..."------ NO Froch. What the 2 115-113 scores suggested was that there was yet another bulls**t decision by **** judges which is becoming a real problem. U were lucky to get 118-110.

although i didn't agree with those scores, both fighters started off real slow in the first 3 rounds. even the commentators said they might could give froch some of those and the press row scoring reflected that too. ward really took over in the mid rounds with froch turning it up from the 9th on.

I had Froch 116-112. . I gave him the 5th (the round where he caught ward with the clean check hook at the end. . . thought he stole the round with those last few clean punches). . The 9th. . and then I gave him the last two rounds becuase I thought Ward was holding every chance he got. . and holding on badly. . . But rounds 5 and 9 I probably just gave because he didn't get hit "as much" as the surrounding rounds. . .

I don't see how you could give 5 rounds for froch, though, that is stretching it. .

I was thinking, what if one of the guys gets blown out in the first fight? there will be no interest for a second fight. . . yet the other fighter could still enforce the rematch. . . just sign for one fight. . . then go as necessary.

I dont know about this because if there is a pretty winner i dont want to see a rematch.A rematch should only be done in the case off a controversial ending or a close fight. If Bute wins a lopsided decision whats the point in having a second leg.Should just have this fight in New York or somewhere like that

people are overrating Bute too much. Who has he beat besides a more faded Johnson than the one Froch fought? Plus people are now starting to undermine Froch. People thought the same about Kessler after Ward outclassed and looked how good he looked against Froch. Same with this. Bute and Froch is a toss up. Bute has speed and power but i feel since Bute isn't as Elusive or athletic as Ward....this plays better for Froch stylistically.

I think they should see the outcome of the first fight before they go and organise an immediate rematch.

i do not like this two fight series mess

arent they trying to get rid of multi-fight obligations?

that almost sounds like a concession of defeat on the part of the froch team

they want that bute money and think they'll have a rough time winning and growing so they want a guaranteed ramatch
