Comments Thread For: Ward Rips Bute: He's Been Fighting B and C Level Guys

WBA/WBC super middleweight champion Andre Ward (25-0, 13KOs) is not impressed with the record of Lucian Bute, the undefeated IBF champion. Ward, who dominated Carl Froch (28-2, 20KOs) on Saturday night to win the Super Six tournament, is not rushing to make a deal with Bute, who many believed who automatically face the Super Six winner. He believes Bute took an easy road to the Super Six champion. But if the right deal comes along, Ward is ready to make the fight.

Bute fought some of the same fighters as Ward--and won easier to.

Why isn't Bute fighting A-class fighters? He was invited to the Super Six.

Sounds like Ward thinks he is Floyd Mayweather now- choosing who he wants, when and how he wants.

He's earned the right to do that, though

To duck other tough fights? As a boxing fan I'm pretty surprised you'd say that.

And Bute has generated more excitement in one round of his fights than Ward has his whole career combined

Absolutely. Many will disagree, but I got both Froch and Kessler ahead of Bute, even though Froch just lost to Ward.
