    Barrera v Chavez?! Boxrec.

So I'm surfing boxrec, contemplating how they can have such a ****ty ratings system (Winky becomes #1 middleweight how? same with Castillo #1), when I go to MAB's page and see he's scheduled to fight Jesus Chavez in March:

Is this old news? I haven't heard anything about this but I've not been keeping up with the news the last few days. Looks like golden boy is finally matching Barrera up with the calibur of fighters he should be facing.

Seriously, how many times does a thread have to be made that comments on the rating system boxingrec uses?

I can't help it! I understand it is based on a system of points, but how does the top 3 in middleweight change without any of them having fought?

But damn, I had no idea about this fight... can't wait to see it/ I apologize for posting old news.

They don't claim those ratings are factual, or even the people who run the website's opinions. It is merely an equation which all of the numbers are put in and it is contantly updating and changing. They don't present it as fact or even attempt to add weight to it by putting rational. It is what it is.
