The three greatest fights from this Super Six ****fest?

I liked the idea, think it was good, think it largely came off. However, how many fights were actually that memorable?

Sure, Andre Ward brought a whole new level of excitement to the sport, but here's what I enjoyed watching the most:

    1. Kessler-Froch. Obviously. Not one for purists by any stretch of the imagination, just two guys slugging it out. Froch's mistake here was, I believe, in thinking that Mikkel would Kessle like he usually does under adversity. I believe he stole Froch's mojo to prevent this happening, and it was Carl who remarked that he was tired, almost as if he'd become German himself.

    2. Dirrell vs. Abraham. The fantastically gifted Dirrell finally gets his coming out party and showcases his superb athletic abilities, ending with a brutal KO. Sadly for Andre, he wasn't the one scoring it. The interviews are LOLtastic.

    3. Taylor vs. Abraham. Quite a boring fight, where Jermain Taylor - a man who had the nouce to outhustle Bore Hard twice by questionable margins - seemingly can't figure out the mystical incantation of a man standing stock still in front of him with his arms over his face. It's a puzzler for sure, and one only three men since have been able to unravel in four Abraham fights. Quite why Taylor was such a dumb **** is anyone's guess... what isn't open to debate is what a Schnelling he took at the end, Jermain going straight into "auto shine" with a nice buffing motion:

    1. Kessler-Froch
    2. Froch-Johnson
    3. Ward-Froch

Froch is just money for exciting fights IMO.

I honestly can't fathom why "Sad Intentions" wasn't able to figure Abraham out, and shut him down. The guy is as predictable as an Anorak punchline for Christ's sake.

Actually, I can't fathom most of Taylor's career. It's truly fucking mind boggling. It's as if his entire career was scripted by a caustic Brit strictly for the lulz :

"Alright, mate. 'Dis guy is gonna win 'da fookin' bronze medal at the Olympics, right? 'Den he's gonna go on to spark his first 23 opponets and look like a godsend. 'Den we're gonna have him easily outhustle a living legend, and a crafty athletic guy it's impossible to look good against twice to take over 'da Middleweight division...But here's 'da kicker....

After he does 'dat, he's gonna defend the Middleweight title against a couple of fookin' Welterweights and look like total shite. 'Den we're gonna 'fro him in 'dere wif a fookin' one dimensional alcoholic skinhead and he's gonna get pounded to a fookin' pulp. After 'dat, we cap off his career by watching him go life and deaf 'wit a fookin' dick nosed ****ney, only to get knocked out. Followed by a brutal knockout at the hands of a guy who's so limited 'dat he makes a fookin' "combo dummy" look agile."

              1) froch vs Kessler
              2) ward vs Kessler
              3) dirrell vs Abraham/froch vs dirrell

All fights that will be spoken about all the time.

ward and froch would be my number three simply because of the stakes
i liked johnson and green as well but these are probably my favorites

                kessler and froch
and dirrell and abraham were both very nice fights.

dirrell's talents certainly made an impression against abraham.
and while you dont wish the finish of that fight on anybody it ceratinly did give us plenty to talk about!

do you remember some of the folk were calling dirrell out for a dive?
he's the best actor on the planet if he faked that ****
and he's got a world class chin, too, if he can take a flush bomb on the chin from abraham and then immediately begin to mastermind a consipracy to pull out of the tournament

                really?
master orchestrator of conspiracy and iron chinned Andre the Matrix?
                i dont think so, dogs.

looking back, the tournament did have a lot going for it in terms of generating buzz within boxing. a lot went on in that tournament, lol, if not a bunch of exciting fights.

it did not captivate the casual fan. they've probably never heard of it.

                Edit:
it's easy to take for granted now because we all know how damn good the kid is, but andre ward SHOCKED me when he sonned kessler
he sonned him. and thats a term i dont throw around idly. they could have fought ten times and kessler woudl be lucky to win a handful of grounds.
                picked apart

he literally adopted him and walked him around the ring in a baby carriage
kessler went from tournament favorite to the tail end of his career after about 10 rounds with ward.
he fed and nourished him, and taught him about boxing.

                that was impressive.
in fact, the birth of andre ward as perhaps the best fighter under 30 on the planet will certainly be the tournament's legacy
if he can clean out 168 (only bute and dirrell remain, if you really want dirrell,)
and then win the world title at 175 and establish himself as the best, he'll have put together one hell of a resume.

****in' A, Bring. Though when he fought Pavlik he was under the belief that it was the guy who did the theme to the Bourne movies.

As for Abraham, he's had more men go through him than....
