Bute is pretty good at controlling distance, and would outbox Froch, but I can easily see a Taylor like late stoppage win for the Cobra.

Wait, so everyone loves Froch prefight, he loses to the best fighter at 168 & now he's a bum that loses to everyone? Bute should not be seen as better than him, no ****ing way. The only solid fighter on Bute's resume is an old Johnson. He should already have an L from the first Andrade fight.

Agree, but he's a good fighter despite the comp. That would be a solid fight. Ant. Dirrell is the more offensive of the two brothers; good speed and pop. ward should be favored but that's technically a potential rough night.

Thanks for bringing awareness, cuz nothing about Anthony's resume says he should be getting a fight with the top SMW. I couldn't have even guessed that he was next in line, that really sucks. And he doesn't really have any value yet, it'll be smart for WBC to reconsider and put him in there with better opposition first.

Did WBC say anything about how much time Ward has before givin Dirrell the fight?

I know one thing, Bute would have a hell of a lot tougher fight than Ward did with Froch, even if he did win, which is debatable. He couldn't manhandle Froch to neutralize him the way Ward did.

I'd love to see Froch put Bute in his place.

I think the same. Maybe Froch vs Kessler at MEN would be too good to turn down.

Bute has a title, and is a huge draw in Montreal. You won't see him in Nottingham

If Kessler fight Stieglizt and win. you'll have the same problem with Kessler : Kessler will have a belt, and is a huge draw in Danemark. You won't see him in Nottingham.

The only options for Froch in Nottingham :
                  - Kessler if the fight against Stieglitz doesn't happen or if he lose
                  - Dirrel
                  - A "stay busy" fight against a local fighter

                  What will probably happen :
                  - A "stay busy" fight against a local fighter then
                  - Kessler in Danemark, if not Bute in NYC

I'd like to see a rematch with Kessler. The first fight was a quality scrap and I personally thought Carl shaded it and was a bit unlucky on the cards. I don't think anyone would begrudge him a softer opponent though.

Agreed, Froch stops him in the final third of the fight, no doubt in my mind. I sincerely hope they make that fight happen.
