I told y'all my boy, Andre, was gonna' outclass this talentless Brit. Froch is just tough with a big heart. That's it. He's slow. Average at fighting from a distance. No inside game. Finally, people now know he's still the same old Froch that struggled with Dirrell, etc.

Good for boxing! Their is too much bad excuses in boxing today. Sometimes its ******, because everybody can see when somebody looses clearly. But this time Froch said it right.Comment

It seems Froch has gained some fans here on BS after this fight. I've always liked Froch. He is a warrior and will admit when he was bested.
Anyways Froch will never lose as he always goes hom and plows through his amazingly hot wife lolComment

I appreciated that Froch made no excuses, but I think he was so outclassed, he really could not have made any even if he wanted to. I do find it interesting when fighters say "I had a bad night....but I could beat him on a good night". No you did not have a bad night, you fought your best and you were handily beaten, that is it. Froch is tough, has heart and chin...but you glaringly see how limited he was with actual boxing skill and ability. He has no defense, horrible footwork, slow telegraphed punches, etc. Respect he fought until the end but he loses to Ward every time and Dirrell in a rematch. He may have a shot against Bute because Bute does not like pressure. But if Bute hits him with those left uppercut/hook body shots all night, he is in trouble. Not many people are going to stand up to those shots...but I would be curious to see how tough Froch's midsection is, since we know his chin is tough.Comment

The reason for it was in part Wards' own making. By fighting Froch's fight and beating him at it, not a single headbutt and by countering every jab + being stronger and winning on the inside too Ward showed he was the superior fighter in every area. Very hard to say Ward spoiled anything for him when this happens.Comment

Not really. Froch fans, particularly those from his homeland, have "massively" (as they like to say) overrated his abilities throughout the Super Six. After comprehensively outboxing Arthur Abraham, Froch fans went about acting as though Froch was the next Sweet Pea Whitaker. EVERYBODY in the tournament outboxed AA. Had Taylor not been shot to **** and faded down the stretch, AA would have had no wins at all in the S6 tourney. A lot of Froch fans pointed to his impressive resume (no doubt it is) as evidence that Froch should have been the favorite over Ward, but which of the fighters that Froch beat during that run would have given Ward any trouble at all? I'd argue that Dirrell would give Ward his best challenge of that group (Ward by close UD btw if they ever fight), and Froch got a total hometown gift decision in that fight. I like a lot about Froch, particularly how he is such a straight talker, but he really was vastly overrated. I think Froch does better against Bute if they ever fight, but still loses.Come off it, people have looking at Froch's negatives since day one. If anything it was his positives which were being overlooked. He was a big underdog in nearly all his high profile fights. No one painted him out to be a master boxing tactician. His strengths were his gutsiness, his strength and his heart. I'd say, given his lack of speed, horrible defence and all the other flaws he has that what he achieved thus far is nothing short of insporational.Comment

Froch making adjustments
At this point in frocks career he needs to make some defensive adjustments but not abandon what has made him a success. Froch should be back strong if he takes a little rest and his trainers work on his defense in the middle of exchanging punches.Comment

Spoken like a true moron. "Masterful taming of Peterson"? Man you are a **** for brains. So what did Haye do in his big fight that was so much better than what Froch did you idiot? Don't hear Froch complaining about his little pinky.Comment
