Gomez against Salvador Sanchez ... Gomez had an unbelievable record and talked a lot before the bout of how he was going to beat Sanchez and that he was going to need a mirror to remember his face since he was going to destroy it ... Then he was knocked down in the first round and brutalized until Salvador KOd him in round 8, in which Gomez had a completely swollen face with both eyes almost completely closed.

yeah, this one was definitely my favorite because of all the trash talk from Mayorga before the fight. De La Hoya put on an incredible boxing clinic even after that long lay off.

two that are super embarrassing because of the way the fighters behaved rather than the fights themselves-

haye -vs- klitschko, after talking the most unbelievable amount of crap managed to run around for 12 rounds then blames the loss on a sore pinky and claims he woulda won otherwise. that's shameful.

khan -vs- peterson, good fight, although khan ran and spoiled a heck of a lot it was good still, but jeez how much of a tw*t he's making himself look now. very embarrassing not only for him (he seems to have even less shame than haye) but for his fans and the british in general.
