Many of you people posting have obviously never seen Morales in his heyday. I saw Morales in his last fight, I saw him carved up by MannyP, and it was onvious even then that he was finished as a top fighter, and the only way from then on was down, and steep at that.

I saw Morales again a few months ago for the very first time since his comeback. I didn't realise who he was. The commentary was in Spanish, which I don't understand. But I DO recall thinking that this guy couldn't really be fighting for a title, he was so slow, so lethargic, so laboured the way he pushed out his left hand, and never moved his head, that he was almost the worst fighter I'd seen for a long time. However he plodded away and persevered, although his opponent wasn't much good either, it was a terrible fight.

Believe it or not, I only really saw who he was when he was walking out of the ring and directly towards the camera.

I was appalled.....still am. He should retire immediately. All he has is a tough jaw and persistence and that isn't nearly enough.

Manny will announce his next opponent today.....

According to Seckbach, Manny will announce his next opponent today.....

I'm betting that it will either be Cotto or Bradley.

I don't think Morales has what it takes to beat either Pac or JMM anymore. Him fighting either one would probably be a big money fight, just because of the names, like Pac - Mosley was. I like Morales and his experience caries him when fighting against lesser fighters, but he just isn't on that elite level anymore.
