According to emmanuel steward during wolak vs rodriguez 2, delvin lost some decisions because his legs look weak. So judges like a fighter that looks more fresh even if the other fighter is landing the shots?

Even though Steward knows what he is talking about usually anything HBO commentators say should not be taken into account. You have been around since 2009 you should know what it takes to win a fight (decision).

Let's face it, image plays a major role influencing the opinion of people psychologically. You got some fights where one guy is winning but looks more swollen up than the other and you probably have the fight closer than it should be and subconsciously you see the other fighter as superior by default in one way or the other.

Kind of hard to explain but I hope you get the idea.

Specially in a contact sport like boxing where it's main activity shows results in the way of damage.

Does Steward know that for a fact (weak legs) or he just observed and gave an opinion?

Coz if it was a fact that Delvin's legs we're weak, then he may lose the match because of that for a variety of reasons.

One will be his punching power rests onto his legs, where all the energy comes from, or his lateral movements maybe affected by those.

Don't take my word though as I haven't seen the fight, but abiding by the sweet science, weak legs = lotsa troubles.

Perception plays a big part in judging a fight, that's why you see fights that are close usually going to a more active fighter, although the other fighter might have been more accurate or more effective..I thought the Pwill Martinez fight is a good example of this..Although Pwill was clearly getting hit with the more effective shots,he was busy and continued to come forward..So the perception is that he is controlling the fight..I got what Manny was saying, although I think he did not explain it that clearly...
