Boxing is most googled sport of 2011

Not over all just in terms of positioning.

Globally May vs Ortiz is number 1. Pac vs Mosley is in 10th.

In North America: for the US May-Ortiz is the most searched sport over all, with Manny being the most searched athlete. Manny vs Mosley is number 1 in Mexico.

In the UK Haye vs Wlad is the most searched by a large margin.

Yet people claim boxing is dead. There have been plenty of great fights this year. Main problem is the fans who believe Mayweather and Pacquiao's actions define the sport.

When Floyd is gone, boxing is gone, until Floyd 2 comes along. Pacquiao is the man.

          boxing has horrible fans.

Saw an article today saying the UFC have been making fake internet accounts to post on forums pretending to be fans. Wouldn't surprise me if they were doing it to troll boxing like this too.

A testament to the drawing power of one Floyd Mayweather. News like this for boxing is good.

Most of the people claiming that are US sportswriters who can't handle the fact that Lennox Lewis and then the Klitschkos took the heavyweight title away from America....
