Gotta follow the money. Big fights to be made at 147. Losses don't hurt Maidana, HBO loves his style & just wants 2 c him scrap!

Devon Alexander Is Going To Get Train Wrecked BY Maidana!!!

After the performances, or lack thereof, Alexander has turned in, he should not be talking about Ortiz or Berto. He should be scared to death for what lies ahead of him in Marcos Maidana. Devon Alexander will get hurt, then knocked cold. Remember how Michael Spinks looked after Mike Tyson lit him up? White, glassy eyes, rolled back in his head? That's how Devon Alexander is going to look at the hands of Marcos Maidana. Robert Guerrero canceled his fight with Maidana, claiming to have tore a rotator cuff. Since that cancellation, Guerrero has talked about fighting everyone BUT Maidana. Mayweather could have fought Maidana, after Maidana destroyed Ortiz in 6 rounds. Floyd opts for Ortiz anyway, to avoid fighting Maidana. Amir Khan won't give Maidana a rematch. Tim Bradley won't fight Maidana. Erik Morales changed his mind and recently declared that he doesn't need a rematch with Maidana. Devon Alexander is the unlucky sucker that has to fight Marcos Maidana next, and I guarantee he will have his track shoes on, try to jab and run, clinch as soon as Maidana gets close, and hope to survive for yet another paycheck. The problem is, at some point Devon is going to get hit, it's going to really hurt, and then all bets are off while he tries to find some way to survive, and he will be in for one helluva beat down at the hands of Marcos Maidana. NOBODY wants to fight Marcos Maidana. Alexander should be fighting guys like Zab Judah, who won't fight either.

yeah, he should worry about getting past maidana first. even though i'd like to see more successful fighters from the midwest, i hope maidana comes out on top so it can make way for ortiz/maidana II (assuming victor beats berto which i'm hoping for).

I'd like to see how Maidana reacts to his performances vs Khan and Morales (didn't even see the fight in Argentina), i suspect he's going to give Alexander Hell.

Ironically, i think Maidana is one of the toughest SOBs in boxing, whilst i think the complete opposite of Alexander. Hopefully Maidana puts him to the sword.

Sounds like Alexander has inside information on the outcome of his fight with Maidana, since he's already talking about fighting the winner of Berto/Ortiz II

I like the fact that this kid doesn't shy away from fighting the best. Although he's been on the receiving end of some home cooking before he continues to want to prove himself against top opposition. I'll be rooting for him in this fight.

kind of dissapointed he took an easy fight with maidana instead of fighting someone more difficult but i guess hes earned it. coming off some very tough fights against the very best and making his 147lb debut i cant be mad at him for going for an easy W just once.

Another gift decision for The Great. Hopefully Maidana makes sure this fight doesn't go the distance.
