Comments Thread For: Juanma Wishes Salido Luck, Expects a Rematch in March

Juan Manuel Lopez, the former WBO featherweight champion, wished Orlando Salido luck with his scheduled ten round tuneup, which takes place this Saturday against Weng Haya in Durango, Mexico. Despite rumors, Juanma advised BoxingScene.com that a rematch with Salido is going to happen in the month of March, in Puerto Rico, at the José Miguel Agrelot or Roberto Clemente Coliseum - and fight will be televised by Showtime. In April, Salido stopped Lopez to capture the WBO crown in Puerto Rico.

I guess its for financial reasons but I don't like the idea that this rematch is being held in Puerto Rico since Salido already came to PR and stopped Juanma. It doesn't seem fair imo.

If Juanma doesn't make adjustments in his training he is going to lose again

I love it when a boxer wants revenge and doesn't run away and hide a guy who whipped his ass.

I like jUanma but never really was sold on him being a great. He has always lacked defense and it got worse when he fell in love with is power. I hope he can adjust and get the revenge victory though. What he has going for him is the fact that salido blocks punches with his head, maybe he can hurt Saliso this time.

                  I agree...but life isn't fair.

I would imagine that there'll be much more interest in a Salido rematch than in the first fight. Before, Orlando was just another "can" that JuanMa was gonna knock out. Now, "Siri" is the champ, the guy that took Lopez's "zero". Puerto Rican boxing fans are going to be very excited to see JuanMa exact revenge.
