I don't think this is true because one of the basic things you teach a aggressive come forward fighter is how to cut off the ring. You kind of answered your own point later in that video when you showed how Marquez adjusts to Manny's footwork and change of direction. It was more JMM's ability to adjust with his footwork than Manny not being able to cut off the ring.

I think Pacquiao does have difficulties cutting off the ring. You just need to look at the Mosley fight and see how Mosley reduced Pac's offense tremendeously by simply staying on the outside and stepping to his left. Also in the late rounds of the Cotto fight Pac had a lot of trouble cutting off the ring and was visibly frustrated.

I think lots of them bigger guys he has fought recently were too caught up in how much their larger size would help them. They tried to impose their power and chin on him. Turns out he also has good power and chin along with speed, which makes him more dangerous than them in the fight.

JMM is smart enough to learn from their mistakes, and I believe he won't try to slug it out.

This is what I think too. It's disappointing as a boxing fan to see how this fight doesn't have as much hype as his antonio and Mosley bouts even though it's much more legit. Only setbacks is he purposely waited so long until JMM is really on the decline, and it isn't really a suitable weight. People naturally buy into the hype too much that greater size automatically means tougher fight. skills and styles are more important unless the size difference is ridiculous.
