The top 5 rated guys at 126 are:

      1. Yuriorkis Gamboa
      2. Chris John (he's too busy challenging the likes of billy dib)
      3. Orlando Salido (beat him already)
      4. Juan Manuel Lopez (can't happen until late next year at best)
      5. Daniel Ponce De Leon (beat him already)

I'd rather see this myself. I don't understand the obsession with Rios. Brandon is too big for Gamboa. Yuri's already pushing it at 135, in my opinion; 140 is almost certainly too heavy a weight for him. Maybe Gamboa's speed and skill carry the day against Rios at 135 -- although I don't think so -- but at junior welterweight, I think it's just too much to ask of Yuri.

I mean I see why Gamboa is doing it, there are NO big names at his division or even around his division, so he's chasing that money. Still though, I like him at 126, I think that's ideal for his body frame. We'll see
it's peculiar as to why Oner and Gamboa are going after Brandon specifically but the moment I text Brandon what Gamboa I know what he will say

**** that puto if he wants his zero to go away I will be glad to do it

              watch

              *texts Brandon*

I agree those are good fights from Gamboa, there are a number of others I'd love to see too myself, but I'm sure from his perspective those are the bottom half rated fighters who wont bring much money to the table. And I think it's clear gamboa is looking for bigger things, as far as names & money goes.

I agree with Shawn that Donaire is probably the best fight at the moment for him, but with Donaire he's slowly moving up in weight so I'm not sure how long it will be until he's at 126 or whatever the case me be with that. I think his next fight is at 122 first quarter of 2012, in theory you'd think it could be made by mid to late 2012.
