3. UD a fat Marquez (had his head snapped back in rd 4)
4. UD an old champ Mosley (nearly went down twice in rd 3)
5. and cheap shot a Victor
you think that resume makes him great over Pac
1. 9 rd KO Diaz (complete score shutout)
2. Retired an old Dela Hoya (something Floyd couldn't do)
3. Exposed Hatton for who he really is (something Floyd took to long to do)
4. Destroyed a Cotto (145lbs is not far from his previous weight 146lbs)
5. Make Clottey hide in a complete score shut out
6. Gives Margarito no more eye
7. Exposes and completely shutout an old Mosley
8. an UD an underrated Marquez (I actually give it a Split decision, same as Oscar vs FLoyd)
FLOYD
1. Clear UD (scored an SD) over De La Hoya at a weight class (54) he'd never fought at, and giving away at least 17 lbs. in the ring.
2. Dominated a prime, undefeated Ricky Hatton; outmanned and beat Hatton at his own game.
3. Completely blanked Juan Manuel Marquez- Handing JMM his first decisive defeat. Marquez would go on to drop a SD to Pacquiao two years later, in a fight that most of the boxing world feels he won clearly.
4. Took two monster rights by Shane Mosley early, came through them, walked him down and dominated him for the rest of the fight. Did it after Shane destroyed Margarito, which many felt was Shane's best showing in years.
5. Dominated a young, strong Victor Ortiz, giving up 10 years in age, 14 lbs. in the ring and coming off a 16 month layoff. Ortiz was coming off his drubbing of previously undefeated Andre Berto.
MANNY
1. KO9 over pedestrian David Diaz, weakest 135 lb. titleholder available.
2. Pummeled a severely compromised De La Hoya.
3. Feasted on what was left of Ricky Hatton.
4. Beat Cotto after Margarito drubbed him and Clottey damaged him, did it at an unnecessary catchweight.
5. Threw more punches than Joshua Clottey, just like everyone else does to beat him. Fought Clottey when coming off a loss to a guy Manny already dominated.
6. Fights Margarito after Marg is destroyed by Mosley and serves a near-2 year suspension. Marg earned the shot at Manny by coasting to a sloppy decision over unheralded club-fighter, Roberto Garcia (not his trainer).
7. Waste of the people's time fighting Mosley 2 years later than the demand for it, one year after Shane had been embarrassed by Floyd and had a draw with Mora.
8. Close SD over Marquez, at 144, in a fight many feel he lost. Floyd blanked Marquez at the same weight over two years ago.
Take everything for what it's worth. If it's what we were looking for, we'd be able to comb the careers or guys like Ali and SRL for discrepancies. Boxing is the most subjective sport there is.

there's absolutely nothing wrong with what hatton said...that's his opinion and he's entitled to it like anybody else.
doesn't mean though that boxing fans should be satisfied with just opinions...only fanboys do that.
i want to see the fight because i want tangible result whether hatton's opinion or any other popular opinions out there turn out right or wrong.

I can agree with you on alot of stuff you mentioned, but I can disagree on alot as well. Yes I can say Floyd is an all time great when I look at his record but most of you who like him are like him. No respect for others nor himself. Boxing wise, did anyone see when he decided to let his hands go on Ortiz? He throws combinations like a punk! If he wanna beat pacman he should stay defensive mind the whole 12 if manny don't shock him with a few b4 12, which I doubt, but he is going to have to throw punches to win rounds cuz the pacman will be after him the whole fight. He will have a blister on his toe like Mosley lol

all that while going up in weight!
You think Floyd is better than Pac with these info? LMAO. Yeah you've been sucking way too much of Floyd's d1ck that's for sure.
Let someone who knows boxing tell it like it is:
The biggest surprise in boxing is Pacquiao's ascent from Flyweight to Welterweight and rule boxing.

Originally posted by nickroc View PostThose are your facts? Honestly, I like both guys and I just want the fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao to happen. I'll continue to hold out hope that it does happen; however, I've resigned myself to the fact that it won't. But let's look at your completely ridiculous arguments:
1. A split decision win over De La Hoya that you say Floyd should've lost. Turn off the sound to the ultra biased HBO crew and watch the fight again. It never should've been scored as closely as it was. Floyd clearly won the fight running away. As an aside to this fight and the De la Hoya Pacquiao fight De la Hoya dictated all the terms in the Mayweather fight, including weight; 154 lbs., ring size, gloves, etc. By the time De la Hoya fought Pacquiao, Pacquiao may not have dictated ALL the terms but he dictated weight; 147 lbs. De la Hoya was totally weight drained at 147 lbs.
2. Be honest with yourself about the Hatton Floyd fight. The Hatton that fought Mayweather was still the guy who beat Kostya Tszyu. Beyond that, Floyd picked him apart for the 9 rounds prior to KOing him. That's what Mayweather does. Did I like the Pacquiao Hatton fight? I loved it. But that's Manny's style. Two different styles, two different fights.
3. Floyd's UD over, as you say, a "fat" Marquez. What's the excuse for Marquez in the Pac 3 fight? Same weight class. Floyd had his head snapped back...yes he did. Pacquiao, and I scored the fight for him by 2 rounds, had his face completely mangled in their last fight!
4. A UD for Floyd over, again as you say, "old" champ Mosley. And then you say that Pacquiao exposed Mosley. No, no my friend. Floyd exposed Mosley. If there ever was a sloppy seconds in Pac's career it was Mosley.
5. A cheap shot to Victor Ortiz. This just proves how much you don't know boxing. Ref clearly and audibly yells "Let's Go!" Put your damn hands up Ortiz.
6. I liked the Clottey Pacquiao fight but Clottey shouldn't have ever been in there with Manny.
7. Pacquiao destroyed Cotto AFTER he had been destroyed by Margarito who, granted, DEFINITELY loaded his gloves against Cotto. Regardless of that cheater and his loaded gloves Cotto has never been the same since.
8. Gives Margarito no more eye. I loved that as much as anybody for two reasons. 1. I love Pacquiao; and 2. Margarito is a damn cheater who deserved that beat down. But let's not be ignorant. Margarito has been shot since Mosley beat his ass like he was his daddy.
I mean your arguments have been completely exposed. In the words of the great Ed Lover: "C'mon Son!"
YOU PUT THE ***** SPIN ON IT !!!!!!!
Shame on you ***** !!!
what was dat ??? come on sonnnnn!!
