In what is shaping up as the biggest flyweight encounter in many years, WBA champion Hernan "Tyson" Marquez (32-2, 25KOs) is targeting an April unification with WBO beltholder Brian Viloria (30-3, 17KOs), who last Saturday scored a very impressive win by stopping betting favorite Giovani Segura in eight rounds. Marquez wants to have a tuneup in February and directed his team to get him Viloria for April. Viloria himself may return in February, but his next defense could get pushed to March.

That would be a great fight filled with great action. Not to mention it would do wonders for their respective careers. For tyson it would erase all doubt and leave no room for questions that he has arrived at the top of the boxing world. For viloria it would finally seal his legacy as one of the great fighters in the smaller divisions and it would do alot to put that image of having one good fight followed by one gigantic disappointment
