Why is everyone saying Froch will be beaten with ease?

Froch is one of those guys difficult to predict on performance....he has both some fundamentals and awkward features. But he is one tough son a gun.
He seems flat footed though at times, and someone with movement like Dirrell frustrates him a lot. Ward is a different fighter though, I hope Froch can put the pressure on him. I don't see a clinic happening either, it will be a challenge for both men.Comment

I actually think that Froch can win a boxing match with Ward if he keeps the fight in the centre of the ring. Froch has a 4 inch reach advantage and is the marginally taller fighter with a spear-like jab. If Froch fights from range, he can nullify Ward's speed advantage and dictate the action. Froch needs to pump that jab consistently and mix in the right hand to keep Ward honest. Froch puts so much into his jab that it can really disrupt the rhythm of a fighter and when Ward has his hands up fending off the jab, Froch should then hammer the body before moving out of range - something that will also help to nullify the speed advantage by slowing Ward down.
What I worry about from a Froch perspective is how he'll deal with Ward in the pocket. Froch is happy to mix it up on the inside, but his already shaky defence gets worse and Ward will likely dominate any exchanges on the inside. Froch should look to keep off the ropes at all times and he shouldn't be afraid to rough Ward up to avoid shipping too much punishment.
It's going to be tough for Froch to win a boxing match, but I think he can do it if he's prepared well enough.Comment

Martinez always had pop and his style also played into him not sitting down on his shots. It isn't because Ward neglects to sit donw on his shots, he's just feather fisted. He can do all the strength training he wants he'll always hit like a girlComment
