    tyson vs. douglas

i am watching this fight again and douglas is currently dominating the fifth round. each time i watch this fight i am amazed at the sharpness of douglas' double jab and right cross combo to tysons head. can you guys think of other fights were guys looked great but seemed to give it all to that one fight and then fall apart like douglas did after he beat mike?

Meldrick Taylor - Julio Cesar Chavez .

Meldrick layed it all out on that fight even though he came up short, he in essence actually "won" the fight.

Douglas fell apart well before the Tyson fight as well. People feel that beating Tyson was a fluke, which is bull ****. He simply was never motivated to fight. Many of his earlier losses were all via him being lazy and giving up, nothign more. When he rekindled his career later in his life for the mere joy of boxing and competition he gave it his all. Douglas had the tools to be great. But, he was the first man to chop down then myth of Iron Mike so he's earned his spot in the history of boxing as far as I'm concerned.

You would be hard pressed to find a better HW performance in the history of the division...I dont no who wouldve beaten Douglas that night, Tyson never had a chance.

you must be new to boxing it happens over and over like i have said many times buster is one of the most if not the most underrated fighters ever he had size power a damn good jab skill all around but he was lazy and un motivated reminds me a little of bowe if you ask me bowe was better but hell buster fought better opponents the dif is bows's power and chin got him throu fights that buster's did not.......chin was the big dif between the 2
