I agree with that assessment of Canelo's past few wins. I definitely think he was toying with Gomez. And I agree that he just walked through Cintron pretty easy without turning it up too much.

It's a tough fight for both. I think Cotto's jab, movement, and most importantly, accuracy would win it for him. Plus he's been taken into deep waters when Canelo hasn't.

Canelo's aresnal is impressive though. He's already one the best combination punchers in the sport, he can throw every punch in the book and he throws them all very technically sound. His uppercut could bother Cotto.

Alvarez is already one of the best combination punchers in the sport??

I think Canelo is Far better than Tony but Margarito say what u will has one HELLUVA Chin! Not hurting him badly isnt a crime, Cotto isnt the puncher he was at JWW but he can still crack - that right hand was actually looking better than ever last time out. Yeah, I agree but if you noticed, Cotto is starting to fade in the late rounds and I don't think he can really hurt Canelo early enough to make a difference. Also, Cotto lacks that self confidence he once had. Just doesn't look the same. I see doubt in him.

Im thinking with the ghost of the Margarito fight finally vanquished he will be back to full confidence and this Diaz seems to be doing good things with Cotto based on that last fight, he looked alot fitter than he has in a long time.

Im not saying Cotto is gonna crack Canelo and he will just go but im sure Jose just rocked him mid fight with a single shot - left hook, Cotto's money punch. I see quite a technical bout tbh and throw in some fierce exchanges with the stronger man forcing the fight late (who ever that may be after some quality rounds)

Naw, Cotto needs another spectacular fight against a top opponent in order for his confidence to grow. Canelo on the other hand keeps getting stronger and is improving all around. That's the way it goes. The young grow while the old get older. Cotto has been in too many wars. Much respect.

Canelo with a 40 W's and not one top 10 ranked guy. He is young and strong, and getting better....BUT Cotto will beat him.

Yes, Cotto did not display the power while boxing on his back foot but with Canelo he will not be doing that, and when Cotto is able to lean behind his punches he can deliver some serious damage.
