Doesn't really bother me though as I've always understood Race > Nation/Country.....

Though I'm a brit I have to root for the black man because no1 else will and it just makes our victories that much sweeter =P

Not me.. on average I probably root for black fighters than white fighters, but not because theyre black but on average I end up liking their style more...

I generally never care what country a fighter is from, including my own.

This fight goes beyond that... A white fighter, not from my country over a black fighter from my country...

In this example, I dont like how the black fighter fights, and dont care that hes from the US... I like how Froch fights, and dont care where hes from.

That's a remnant of the old racist "one-drop rule" from the Jim Crow days, that says if a white person and a black person mix, the white's blood has been "polluted" by the black's and therefore that person is to be considered black.

It's always amazed me how blacks cling to this racist notion. It is a product of white supremacy, yet has become part of black culture.
