Do you reckon a boxer's fighting style and skills effect how they are when they're on the job?

I was thinking today - Ricky Hatton can go non-stop for three minutes of every round. So does that mean when he's on his missus (before he gets fat again) he's going at it hammer and tong for 36 minutes?

Ruiz - does he thrust twice and then hug his wife for a bit?
