I like Khan. I like Peterson. I enjoyed the fight. Don't care who won. Could have gone either way. Looking forward to the rematch. Will Peterson stick with the brawling style (that worked)? Roach will have a plan for that. Lots of intriguing questions.

People under rated Peterson in this fight, now they're saying Khan has reached his peak and can't get any better. Fact is it was a decent fight between 2 decent fighters. Khan will be fine and still improve he's still young for a boxer. Harold Lederman scored it for Khan even with the points deductions, so did i and a lot of boxing journalists have been coming out saying it was a harsh decision. A lot of people on here just have a problem with Khan and use the opportunity to bash him.Comment

Come on man really? Harld Lederman is an HBO schill, like when he comes on at the beginning of the 3rd 6th and 9th rounds, he talks for a minute and does not see the action, how are you going to be scoring a fight and not watching the first minute of the round? This point was driven home during the 9th round when Lamont landed some good shots the first 30-60 seconds and then Amir prob won the other two minutes slightly, but the work Lamont did in the first minute where he dominated won him that round. Lederman didn't even see it. This guy is a joke. Khan ran alot of that fight and although I feel he lost, I gained alot of respect for him he took some good shots and is a tough ba$tard. He should really learn to be more humble but it appears in the immedieate days after he still has not learned his lesson. Thsis was no robbery, this was a good fight and Khan lost, period.People under rated Peterson in this fight, now they're saying Khan has reached his peak and can't get any better. A rematch looms on the horizon for Lamont Peterson. Bradley wants one, Khan will feel he has grounds to demand one. The later within six months would get my vote. Khan's post fight reaction wasn't very becoming of a champion. Neither was his actions in the ring. Peterson wasn't there to simply fight, he was there to take away the championship, something that Khan seemed to overlook. Khan felt that Peterson was coming in with his head low. In the absence of the knowledge and craft to deal with that, he tried to spoil and continually appealed to an unresponsive referee. Meanwhile his infighting was left by the wayside.
No doubt Khan will learn from this fight, yet it is a little disconcerting to hear him say that he wants to get the rematch 'out of the way' before moving up to 147lbs. Peterson will come into the rematch with a level of preparation that will eclipse that of the first fight. Knowing now that he has to adopt to a style of fighting that is counter to his usual and having a full training camp to fine tune that into his his first plan of action rather than his second.Comment

Prior to this fight I read an article in the Guardian (a very well respected paper) in the UK in which the writer branded everyone that bashes Khan on "boxing forums''as ''idiots''. This comment annoyed me to no end because alot of doubters like me come up with very logical critiques for Khans ringmanship.
I was pretty satisfied with the overall result as I had Peterson ahead without the points penalty for Khan.
The referee was very questionable and I can't really recall a fight in which a boxer can bore his head so much into the opponents body without more breaks being called by the referee. Many times in the last 6 rounds we see Peterson swarming Khan, pressing to the point where there is literally nothing Khan can do but try to hold him down/push away. The referee was a shocker no doubt about it.
That being said I grow tired of Khan's self-belief spectacles.
Pros of this guy: Amazing Handspeed
Solid Accuracy
Cons: Loose Defence
Lack of Punch Power
Lack of Strength
Now, he took some huge blows in that fight, and it was good to see him take a hit well for once, but to me he still looks like the same pigeon chested boy that lost to Breidiss Prescott. He just doesnt have the physique to cut it with the best, and I don't think he ever will.
My 2 cents.Comment

Khan you must first establish what it is that you need improving. Is it your inside work? Where department do you feel Peterson was getting the better of you in? Then tell Roach and ask him to train you up to par, and if he cant do it get someone else.Comment

Your wake up call should be to leave joke coach Roach and find a better trainer like Naazim, Robert Garcia, etc. Khan needs to stop fighting an amateur/olympic type style and relying on one punch to stop fighters dead in their tracks. This is a bad year (or actually a very revealing year) for Roach's fighters. Khan lost, Linares lost and yes, MANNY LOST. His 3 prize pupils basically lost and/or had their wills taken away. I don't even count garbage JCC Jr. so it's not an accident that I did not include his win lol. It is not just that his fighters lost (or bs win for Manny), they were revealed. All 3 looked confused, helpless and uncomfortable in all their fights when the men in front of them did not go away when getting hit. Roach and his fighters have reached their pinnacle, it is all down hill from here, sorry Wild Card. Time to pack it in, when the gravy train (Manny) loses his next fight.Comment
