I don't get the hate with Williams. Yes, he was KO'd by Sergio in two rounds, but he also beat Sergio, or did people forget that??? Yes, he really lost to Erislandy Lara, is it Williams' fault the judges robbed Lara?....No.
Williams may not be in his prime anymore at age 30, kinda like how Cotto has never been in his prime since losing to Magarito the firs time....but like Cotto, he can still be a good fighter and still become a good fighter again.
I have always thought Williams was short changed for the people he beat in boxing so far.

Paul Williams to me was always a bit overrated. I don't understand how really he ever made it as high as 4 on the p4p list considering that he fought very little and really didn't have that signature fight.
Having said that I think this kid was one of the more exciting kids to watch since he never stopped throwing punches. I think his promoters did a horrible job of promoting him and had this guy been with a real promoter he would have been bigger and in much better fights.
Hope me comes back soon and fights a couple more times. He was exciting to watch!Comment

I don't really care who PWill fights next. His fights are fun to watch, and for the most part, they're either a KO waiting to happen now, or an all out action packed war.
I do wonder how many more wars he can have. His face is paper thin and bleeds very easily. He's obviously vulnerable to lefty's, and him nor his trainer have any intentions to change that severe flaw.
At this point, a fight with a serious ****er doesn't sound good for Paul, especially if it's a lefty. Also, at this point, I'd take most top tier guys in the 154 or 160 pound divisions over him just because his reflexes seem to be going, his punches are carrying less and less, and he's getting hit a lot more.
How about a rematch with Antonio Margarito or Kermit Cintron? Tag it as a battle of the has beens!Comment

Even tho P wil was fun to watch his last three wins were gifts. I do agree with him about his performance against lara, rarely anyone has an impresive performance after a lost like that and a long vacation. Always saw him as a way overrated guy but if he goes back to the high volume puncher he was then he might still be fun to watch. Clottey might be a good fight for.him.Comment

idk williams is a very good fighter. but the last thing i wana c is another boxer slurring his words. hes been taking flush hard shots since walter matthysse fight. overblown jrwelter mitchell was tagging him and everybody else. alot of hard battles and his last bout he looked shot and out of it. he dont need the money hes invested in realestate. ishida bout fine but a guy like kirkland or lara again hes gona get hurt.Comment
